Currently, Albania does not offer a public online system to track your residency permit application status. You cannot log in to a website or use a reference number to check updates automatically.
Instead, the process is more manual, and you will need to follow up directly with the authorities.
How to Check Your Application Status
After submitting your documents at the immigration office, you will receive a submission confirmation slip.
This usually includes your name, a reference number, and the office where your application was filed.
To check the status:

Visit the same immigration office where you applied

Bring your passport and the submission slip

Ask the staff for an update on your application file
Most offices will ask you to wait 30 to 60 days for processing before inquiring.
Can You Call or Email?
Yes, but in most cases, in-person follow-up is more reliable. While some regional immigration offices accept phone calls or emails, response times vary and many prefer face-to-face communication.
If you are not fluent in Albanian, it’s helpful to bring someone who can translate or speak on your behalf.
What If Your Application Is Approved?
Once your application is approved, the immigration office will notify you. This is usually done by phone call or SMS. You will then be asked to return and:
